ABOUT NORMA KRIEGER
Norma is a Pratt Institute graduate, educator, curator and photographer. Her professional background is varied and accomplished in the fields of corporate industry, academic institutions and cultural institutions. She has worked for Black Enterprise Magazine, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, N.Y. and has taught at Rochester Institute of Technology and Pratt Institute Graduate School.
For fourteen years, Norma was a senior art buyer, print producer for Ogilvy & Mather, N.Y. (O&M) the legendary Madison Avenue advertising, marketing and communications agency. There she produced large complex, print production projects with a $10-million dollar annual budget, working on major brands such as IBM and American Express. Norma simultaneously managed monthly exhibitions at Ogilvy & Mather’s (O&M) exclusive corporate gallery.
In addition, Norma is owner of the BROOKLYN | ART SALON | PRIVATE GALLERY. The Art Salon’s series is the educational component and arm of the Krieger Creative Group (KCG). Art Salon’s are held to showcase visual artists; host forums and gatherings of art aesthetics conversations to help foster the exchange of ideas. The Art Salon has held rare discussions that of which are normally relegated to academic and cultural institutions attended by artists and art enthusiasts who take the time to participate, contribute and engage in meaningful conversations on art.
As photographer, Norma’s distinctively framed sepia tone photographs and her collection of artist portfolio: collector’s series, mini-books entitled, “Visions, St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands, 1700s to Present” are available.
